HVAC/R Service Technician
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform skilled journeyman level heating and air conditioning work in the installation, inspection, maintenance, alteration and repair of heating, chilled water and direct expansion refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilating systems equipment and controls.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- 3 years of field service experience
- EPA Universal certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current TDLR Technician Registration
- Social Security Card
- Valid driver’s license with driving record acceptable by our insurance provider
- Clean criminal background acceptable by school districts and military bases
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Self-motivated to excel in your trade and career
- Attention to detail in paperwork and diagnostics of equipment
- Ability to verbally convey details and options to customers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Knowledge of:
- Basic rigging and installation procedures
- Split system installation and startup procedures
- Electronics in various aspects of the trade
- Basic airflow calculations and readings
- Chill water systems is a plus
- Electrical components, testing and utilization of appropriate instruments to diagnose issues
Ability to:
- Locate proper resources to assist in diagnosis and repairs if uncertainties arise
- Interpret installation manuals, startup manuals and blueprints
- Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems is a plus: walk-ins, reach-ins and ice machines
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, gathering material and coordinating on-site work with customers and dispatchers.
- Promptly identify and correctly repair malfunctions in evaporators, ventilation systems, compressors, bearings and electrical controls.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all types of HVAC/R equipment and complete the necessary paperwork and documentation.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sales Representative reports to the President and is responsible for acquiring sales from new and existing clients. Sales are generated in support of the service, retrofit and construction divisions. Sales include, but are not limited to, limited residential, light commercial, light commercial retrofit, service contracts, construction and building automation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the HVAC trade with a tract record of sales and closings
- High School Diploma with undergraduate degree or continuing education in the mechanical or building services fields.
- Impeccable customer service skills
- Organization skills for documenting contacts, notes, pending, finalized and future quotes
- Vast knowledge in the use of computers, including the internet and Microsoft office suite
- Ability to survey all types of buildings, residences and mechanical systems
